Newly Stockport based Speedworks Motorsport is one of the fastest-growing race teams in the UK. Established in late 2005, by respected racing driver, Christian Dick, and experienced motorsport events manager, Amy Dick. Their success is based on a dedicated ethic in achieving the highest standards in car preparation and development.
2012 Sees Tony partnered by 2011 Ginetta G55 Champion Adam Morgan to compete in 2012 BTCC.
2011 Tony Hughes embarked on his first year in BTCC. Speedworks Motorsport also ran a Corvette in British GT3.
2010 Saw Speedworks have their most diverse season yet running the Ginetta G50s in: European GT4, British GT, Ginetta G50 Cup, Britcar and Britcar 24hour race. Also competing in the: Masters Gentleman Drivers, Heritage Touring Cars and several historic race series.
2009 Speedworks ran three Ginetta G50s on the prestigious TOCA package and also ran successfully in the British GT4 Championship. The team travelled to the USA taking second in class and at Daytona with a class win. They also competed in the Heritage Touring Cars series, Masters FIA series and Mighty Minis.
2008 The team fielded up to four Ginetta G50s and 9 Ginetta G20s. Having racked up several race wins and podium finishes, Speedworks Motorsport won the G50 Teams Championship as well as coming 3rd in the drivers’ standings.
